Antares Advanced Test, IC Test Lab Partner on DUT-level Qual Burn-in
(February 22, 2008) Santa Clara, CA — Antares Advanced Test Technologies and an undisclosed IC test lab in the Silicon Valley have partnered to configure a burn-in chamber at the test lab with Antares' iSocket thermal-management technology to allow semiconductor engineers in the region to conduct off-site qualification burn-in of 50W devices and below with individual DUT-level temperature controls.

Vectron Introduces GPS-Quality TCXO in a 3.2x2.5mm LCC Package
(February 21, 2008) Hudson, NH — Vectron International has announced its smallest temperature compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) to date. The new VTM3 TCXO offers similar phase noise performance to Vectron's VTC4 and VTC1 TCXOs in a 50% smaller package (3.2mm x 2.5mm).

Indium Corp. Presents Award to Zen Voce
(February 21, 2008) — Indium Corp.'s Semiconductor Packaging Materials team presented their Equipment Partner of the Year Award to Zen Voce. The award, presented in Singapore, was given to Zen Voce's GM, Jeffrey Mah, by Indium's managing director for Asia-Pacific operations, Pang Weng Fai.

MEPTEC Finalizes Program for 4th Thermal Management Symposium

(SRC), a university-research consortium for semiconductors and related technologies, has announced that the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CNSE) of the U. at Albany will serve as headquarters for a research effort aimed at enabling nanoelectronics advances that are critical for the development of smaller, faster and cheaper computer nanochips.

Complex Integration Spurs Growth in Interconnect Materials Market
(February 20, 2008) Genoa, NV — Techcet Group LLC reports the market for interconnect metals and dielectric materials, totaling $350 million in 2007, is maintaining its lead as the highest growth area compared to other semiconductor process materials. Worldwide IC Market Predicted at 9% Increase in 2008

February 20, 2008 — In January, IC Insights Inc., a Scottsdale-AX based market research firm for the semiconductor industry, gave a seminar in Boston covering global economic trends, their semiconductor industry forecast, technology trends, and evaluations of end-use applications driving demand for ICs. The McClean Report presented at the 2008 seminar predicted that the IC industry, which grew 4% worldwide in 2007, would grow 9% this year.

Asymtek Signs New Distributor Agreements
(February 15, 2008) Carlsbad, CA — Asymtek, a Nordson company, announces the addition of two new distributors to market its automated fluid dispensing and conformal coating systems throughout Poland and Turkey. AMB Technic, headquartered in Kolo, Poland, and NORANA, headquartered in Izmir, Turkey, will provide Asymtek's customers with sales support, lab testing, on-site equipment service, and training.
