INDUSTRY NEWS TODAY International SEMATECH Wins EPA Climate Protection Award AUSTIN, TEXAS International SEMATECH (ISMT) has won this year's prestigious Climate Protection Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its work in reducing perfluorocarbons (PFCs) emissions. THOUGHTS ON THE NEWS Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Patents International Interconnection Intelligence recently announced the availability of a report covering 1,500 patents from the past 20 years in the areas of BGA, CSP, WLP, and related technologies. The scope of the work is certainly impressive, and one interesting set of information from it is a list of the number of patents by company. I was surprised by many of the entries in the list.
