High-performance Socket for 0.5-mm Pitch SOIC IC

The SG-SOIC-3000 GHz sockets for SOIC chips are ZIF sockets and provide good signal integrity. The sockets are compact and can be mounted on the small footprint. The socket needs about 2.5-mm extra space around the chip than the actual chip size. The signal path is short (0.5 mm or 0.75 mm). The operating temperature range is from -35°C to 100°C. It uses elastomeric interconnect technology. The signal loss is <1 dB at 6.5 GHz or 10 GHz. The contact resistance is typically 23 milliohms per lead. The SOIC leads are precisely guided in the socket. The socket can be mounted using hardware and needs holes for screws and for positioning on the target board.
